No Mow May
No Mow May is an international project to create habitat and forage for early season pollinators by allowing grasses and flowers to grow freely during the month of May. You can help by leaving part or all of your lawn unmowed during May. The City of Rockland has endorsed this effort and will be leaving portions of municipal properties unmowed as well.
Renew Rockland is printing a limited number of “No Mow May” signs to help celebrate the city’s effort and educate on the benefit of this important habitat. Please consider posting one of our signs in your yard! These cute 12” x 12” signs are an original illustration curtesy of Renew Rockland’s Amy Files.
Printing signs is expensive! Please consider helping with a donation of $10 ($7 covers printing costs and $3 will support Renew Rockland efforts on educational projects such as this one, our Community Farm Project, and more!). Any amount helps!
Renew Rockland is an all-volunteer effort but not a registered 501c3 so donations are, unfortunately, not tax-deductible.
To receive a yard sign, please fill out our signup form with your name, number and email. We will contact you for pick-up once they arrive. Signs will be first come, first serve to whoever would like one. To secure yours in advance, please make a donation.
